About Us

Krista Jawin, BS, HBCE, CD(DONA), Therapeutic Touch I/II

My passion and desire to be a Childbirth Educator, HypnoBirthing Educator, and a Doula stems from my own personal experience of giving birth. My first birthing experience did not go as planned and I made a decision the second time to educate myself about all of my options and choices to have a VBAC at home. After, that empowering experience, I decided to pursue this amazing career to be able to educate other women to let them know that they have options and choices, even though they may feel like they don’t. To be able to empower other women to have the gentle birth experience that they choose to have; one that is free of fear, doubts, and negativity. I have gotten lucky and so far have been included in many different birth experiences as an educator, a birth assistant, and a doula; all of which have been wonderful! I have experience in home births, birth center births, and the hospital; and with the Bradley method, HypnoBirthing,  Hypnobabies, and other childbirth education methods. I am currently a certified HypnoBirthing Educator and a DONA Certified Doula and had the honor of successfully completing an amazing internship and working as a birth assistant at Southcoast Midwifery.

I am a working and homeschooling mother of four, who enjoys being active in the outdoors, loves arts and crafts and building things with my kids; a little OCD :) , and most of my days are less than ideal, chaotic, and messy, but I do try and cherish any little moment that I can.

I am passionate about working with other moms. This passion stems from my own personal experience of birth and the transition of becoming a mother. From both a traumatic birth experience and three at home healing ones, I realize that our society needs a better community to help our moms. We built this center in hopes that it will fulfill the needs of all mothers, where we can come together to support eachother, lean on eachother, and just know that we are not alone on this journey into parenthood.
